During our half-day coding camp, students will get their first experience with coding. Students will learn about a new coding topic such as: moving characters, designing scenes, sending messages, conditional statements, and more. Students will use Scratch Jr to create animations that they can access on any tablet or computer.

To begin each day, students will play an offline activity that allows them to explore the idea in the real world. Students will play games similar to “Simon Says” and “Red Light, Green Light” as they learn to apply these concepts in real ways. Afterwards, students will take those new skills into Scratch Jr and create their own projects that showcase their creativity and newfound knowledge.
