After School Overview
Next Generation Startup offers a wide range of courses in the S.T.E.A.M. fields for students in grades K through 12th.
Each of the classes indicated below will give students the opportunity to invent a product or service, design a business plan that fits their unique idea, create the physical product or service, test its marketability and effectiveness, and market it!
Science
Exploding Into The
Market
Students will learn how titan companies have exploded into the market by using chemistry! Whether it’s cosmetics, cologne, household detergents or a variety of other products we use daily, chemistry is all around us. Students will learn how to become the next big entrepreneur through science!
Light ‘Em Up
This course will introduce students to the world of wearable electronics. They will learn to create and market customized and fashionable t-shirts, sneakers, hats, totes, etc. with LED’s while learning all about the science behind circuitry.
Coding

From designing blogs, to creating e-commerce sites or brand-building sites kids will learn about structure, content, layout, typography and design. Our tech savvy students will be designing and building web pages using HTML and CSS. Kids will take on “business missions” for potential clients in different fields and create mock websites for their clients. Throughout the class, students will learn about design flow and functionality and by the end of class students will have completed a website of their own.
APPrentice
Have you ever wanted to build a mobile app? In this class, students learn how to make their ideas happen through app building. Using the Thunkable app making platform, kids learn how to make applications that can be used in real-life situations. Problem solving skills are honed as they work through real world business problems and use their critical thinking to come up with solutions. All creative thinkers are encouraged to sign up for the fun!
Engineering
Create-Novate
Future engineers put their thinking hats on to come up with the next big hit game! Students are challenged to innovate and create by engineering a product with specific materials. The class also gives students the opportunity to learn how to work individually, in a team, and are guided to make a successful "elevator pitch".
Crafting
Trash To Treasure
Don’t throw away that wrapper or those plastic bottle caps...they could become your future business! Save the earth and build a company at the same time using items we often just discard.
Craft Your Brand
Turn your love of fun craft projects into a profitable company! Learn how entrepreneurs have made a living through selling their do it yourself projects and understand how using technology and media can play a huge part in the success of your business.
Little Big Investors
Our youngest entrepreneurs use math and a little bit of imagination in this engaging class to become savvy investors! As they dive into the world of finance, our little investors learn about budgeting, investing, and selling while also creating fun craft projects relating to the weekly topics. Watch these little investors learn how to become big entrepreneurs!
Printing Profits
Using different mediums learn how to easily design shirts, totes, and other textiles. Then use your unique designs to market and pitch your brand.
